The Professional Taekwondo Federation (PTF), in partnership with PTF Korea, has formally announced one of the most significant developments in modern Taekwondo history — the 1st PTF World Taekwondo Championships, scheduled to take place in the Republic of Korea from 10–12 July 2026.

This inaugural edition marks a major milestone as PTF establishes a truly inclusive global platform that welcomes all ages, all belt levels, and all Taekwondo styles, including WT, ITF, and KT. For the first time, practitioners from every discipline within Taekwondo will stand together on a unified world stage, while maintaining dedicated competitive divisions for each style to preserve their technical identity and competitive integrity.

Each division winner across style, age, and rank will be officially recognized as a PTF World Champion, making this one of the most prestigious titles ever awarded under the PTF banner.

🥋 Pathway to Professional Taekwondo: KT Grand Prix

In a major highlight, champions from the Kombat Taekwondo (KT) Major League will receive official invitations to compete in the KT Grand Prix Professional Championships. This progression pathway allows top fighters to advance into the highest tier of the Kombat Taekwondo professional league, offering global visibility and career advancement in the competitive Taekwondo landscape.
